Using the Diffusion CD

DON'Ts:

1. DO NOT use this CD while driving, taking a bath, or during any other activity that requires you to be alert. The tones on the CD will induce sleep.

2. Do not convert this audio recording to MP3 format for listening on MP3 players. The conversion to MP3 format eliminates important higher overtones recorded on the CD.
Note: You can however rip a WAV file (or other loss-less file formats) for use on certain MP3 players that allow these loss-less formats. Apple iPods allow playback of WAV as well as Apple loss-less format files.

DOs:

Note: Highlighted below are three inportant points you MUST remember to follow when using the Diffusion CD.

1. Listen to the Diffusion CD when you go to sleep, or whenever you can find at least 50 minutes to an hour where you will be left undisturbed. Ideally, it is best to listen to the CD when you go to sleep, so you do not have to set aside any special time for it. However, there are some exceptions — refer to the table below for additional information.

2. Set an intent before you play the CD. Think clearly about what you desire the CD to assist you with — this is called setting an intent. Once you set the intent, let go of it and relax. Set no more than 2 intents at a time. Keep the intents really simple, but be precise with the wording. Refer to the table below for sample intents.

3. Always use quality stereo headphones or ear buds when listening to the CD. Adjust the volume level so the tones play softly.

4. Gently breathe in and out through your nose in rhythm with the two repeating tones on the CD. Do not strain to listen to the tones — simply tune out and relax. It is quite all right if you fall asleep as you listen to the CD.

5. Play the CD in its entirety.

6. If at any time you feel restless, irritated or emotional while the CD is playing, just continue breathing in and out through your nose and let the tones on the CD quickly and gently calm you down.

7. Visualization can be added to your breathing to enhance the healing effects. Use them only as directed — see table below. Click on the icon shown to see how the visualization is done.
Important! This visualization can leave you feeling energized and wide awake, hence it is preferable to do it during the DAYTIME.

8. Unresolved emotions and feelings are toxic in nature, and when releasing these some detoxification of the body may be required. Some recommendations for detoxification include 20-minute Epsom salt baths, drinking lots of pure water, eating healthy foods, exercising regularly, and getting adequate rest.

Optional DOs:

1. Journal your inner thoughts and feelings to help you connect the dots and become more aware of what is really going on in your life beneath the surface.

The following table lists suggestions on how to use the Diffusion CD for various applications. Please refer back to this table frequently for up-to-date information.

Stress relief Play the CD as needed. Sample intent: "I set my intent to release stress and experience deep relaxation."

Relaxation Play the CD as needed. Sample intent: "I set my intent to experience deep relaxation." Important! Do not use any visualizations for this application. After you set the intent, gently breathe in and out through your nose in rhythm with the two repeating tones and relax as you play the CD.
Deep restorative sleep Play the CD at BEDTIME, as needed. Sample intent: "I set my intent to have 8 hours of deep, restful and restorative sleep."
Important! Do not use any visualizations for this application. After you set the intent, gently breathe in and out through your nose in rhythm with the two repeating tones and relax as you play the CD.
Calm the mind and emotions Play the CD as needed. Sample intent: "I set my intent to diffuse any unresolved emotions and feelings, and calm my mind."
Important! Do not use any visualizations for this application. After you set the intent, gently breathe in and out through your nose in rhythm with the two repeating tones and relax as you play the CD.
Mental clarity (for students preparing to write exams or those who need general assistance with learning) Play the CD once a week at BEDTIME. DO NOT use the CD while studying. Parents or adults can assist younger children by setting the intent with them, or for them.
Sample intent: "I set my intent to release anxiety and have mental clarity."

Important! Do not use any visualizations for this application. After you set the intent, gently breathe in and out through your nose in rhythm with the two repeating tones and relax as you play the CD.
Mental clarity (for adults in decision making, or clarity on specific issues) Play the CD at BEDTIME. If additional sessions are required, try and allow 3 days between each session in order to give you time to connect the dots. You can also use the CD for this purpose as you sleep, so the clarity you seek is available to you in your waking hours. Sample intent: "I set my intent to diffuse any unresolved emotions and feelings, calm my mind, and have clarity on... (insert the specific issue you are dealing with)."
Important! Do not use any visualizations for this application. After you set the intent, gently breathe in and out through your nose in rhythm with the two repeating tones and relax as you play the CD.

Meditation Play the CD as needed. Sample intent: "I set my intent to calm my emotions and my mind, and to move into a deep meditative state."
Note: Breathing is very important, so time it to the repeating tones on the CD.
Enhance creativity Play the CD at BEDTIME once every 3 days. You can also use the CD for this purpose as you sleep, so both sides of the brain can become balanced to allow greater creativity in your waking hours. Sample intent: "I set my intent to calm my mind, and balance both sides of my brain to enhance my creativity."
Important! Do not use any visualizations for this application. After you set the intent, gently breathe in and out through your nose in rhythm with the two repeating tones and relax as you play the CD.
Clear general negativity Play the CD during the DAYTIME. If additional sessions are required, try and allow 3 days between each session. Sample intent: "I set my intent to diffuse unresolved emotions and feelings, and release outdated beliefs."

Supports therapies for mood, anxiety and eating disorders, as well as addictions Play the CD once every 3 days during the DAYTIME, and no more than twice a week. Sample intent: "I set my intent to diffuse unresolved emotions and feelings, and release outdated beliefs." Note: In addition, the CD can also be used daily at bedtime for stress relief, relaxation, sleep etc. Use the appropriate intents — see above.

Pain relief Play the CD as needed. This CD can also be used to minimize pain from injury or surgery, as well as chronic pain.
Sample intent for pain: "I set my intent to minimize pain, and speed up healing."

Sample intent for chronic pain: "I set my intent to diffuse unresolved emotions and feelings, release outdated beliefs, minimize pain, and speed up healing."

Allergy symptom relief Play the CD at BEDTIME, as needed. Sample intent: "I set my intent to diffuse unresolved emotions and feelings, release outdated beliefs, and experience relief from allergy symptoms."
Supports therapeutic healing Play the CD once every 3 days, and no more than twice a week. This CD can also be used during massage, reflexology, physio-therapy, aroma-therapy treatments, etc.
Sample intent: "I set my intent to diffuse unresolved emotions and feelings, release outdated beliefs, and allow deep relaxation and healing."

A practitioner can also set an intent on the patient's behalf, if necessary. Sample intent: "I set my intent to let the CD assist (insert individual's name) to experience deep relaxation and healing."
Supports cancer therapies To minimize side-effects of cancer therapies, play the CD during the DAYTIME on the day before chemo or radiation treatments, and as needed.

For deep healing, play the CD once every 3 days during the DAYTIME.
Use this CD along with other cancer therapies. It can minimize any side-effects, allow patients to remain calm and peaceful, and induce healing. Use one of the appropriate intents below.
Note: In addition, the CD can also be used daily at bedtime for stress relief, relaxation, sleep etc. Use the appropriate intents — see above.

Sample intent: "I set my intent to minimize the negative effects of chemo or radiation, and experience deep calm and peace." or

Sample intent for deep healing: "I set my intent to diffuse unresolved emotions and feelings, release outdated beliefs, and allow deep healing in my body."

Comfort for terminally ill patients Play the CD once daily. Repeat as needed. Helps an individual find inner resolution and inner peace.
Sample intent: "I set my intent to allow inner resolution and peace."

Important! While breathing and visualization is beneficial, it is not absolutely necessary to do them for this application. After you set the intent you can simply tune out and relax as you play the CD.

If an individual is unable to set an intent for themselves, someone else can set it on their behalf. Sample intent: "I set an intent on behalf of (insert individual's name) to allow inner resolution and peace."
